The Alwelis / Routhier group is for more than 45 years a distributor of international dairy products on the German market. In 1969 company founder Hartmann Weber began to import French cheese specialities.
In the following years the product range expanded, representing further European dairies.
1985 The distribution of Greco Feta on the German market began. Back then, Greco was the first original Greek Feta available in consumer packaging units of 200 grams. Today, with Greco as an established brand, the company group sells dairy products in more than 30 countries throughout the world.
1990 Routhier Weber started the distribution of original Greek yoghurt on the German retail. This range is also offered under the well known Greco label, as well as the Feta cheese, both produced in the SHM Hellas- Pilion S.A.work in Volos.
In the same year Routhier/Alwelis was the first company introducing Halloumi to the German market, the Christis Halloumi (grilled cheese). Today, numerous EU customers as well as Switzerland are supplied. The manufacturer Christis now operates under the name Charalambides Christis LTD.
1998 saw the inclusion of Italian products in the range and the successful cooperation with Solo Italia began, a modern and versatile company, which was founded in 1991.
To date, the group is 100% family owned and markets over 200 different dairy products from 9 countries.
